    Summary

    GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks an experienced Cloud Security Specialist II to provide support in securing cloud-based systems and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks in a remote environment. The candidate assists in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining cloud security controls to support hybrid and multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role applies cybersecurity, compliance, and automation best practices to safeguard mission-critical systems and data for federal clients.

    Essential functions/responsibilities

    + Support the implementation and maintenance of cloud security architectures in compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards.

    + Monitor and respond to cloud security alerts, vulnerabilities, and incidents in collaboration with cybersecurity and operations teams.

    + Assist in performing security assessments and audits of cloud environments to identify risks and recommend mitigations.

    + Participate in developing secure baselines, configuration templates, and continuous monitoring dashboards.

    + Support vulnerability management, patching, and compliance reporting in coordination with system owners and security engineers.

    + Maintain up-to-date documentation of security configurations, procedures, and authorization artifacts.

    + Collaborate with cloud architects, system administrators, and developers to integrate security by design across projects.

    + Stay current on emerging threats, tools, and cloud security best practices to enhance organizational security posture.

    Information Security and Confidentiality Obligations

    + Ensure adherence to organizational information security policies and procedures; actively participate in mandatory security awareness training; and manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with company protocols and data protection standards.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    + 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud administration, or systems engineering roles with a focus on cloud security.

    + Working knowledge of CSAM

    + Demonstrated experience implementing and managing NIST 800-53, FISMA and or FedRAMP security controls.

    + Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud security features, tools, and configurations.

    + Familiarity with continuous monitoring tools such as BigFix, Tenable, or Qualys.

    + Understanding of security incident response, log analysis, and root cause determination.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.

    + Familiarity with security tools and services such as CloudTrail, Defender for Cloud, or Security Command Center.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Security – Specialty,: Security Engineer Associate, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or other security certifications

    + Experience conducting vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and configuration audits.

    + Exposure to SIEM and log management platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Sentinel).

    + Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills .

    Work authorization/security clearance requirements

    + Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

    Work environment

    + This work is typically completed in a remote environment.

    Physical demands

    + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    + Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.
