Job Title: HD Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking motivated HD Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow in the pharmacy profession while contributing to patient care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

+ Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.

+ Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.

+ Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label, and store, as needed during low volume times.

+ Package materials and products manually.

+ Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks).

+ Apply labels to blister cards and then scan products for accuracy check.

+ Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.

+ Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed.

+ Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

+ Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

+ Perform other duties as assigned, including troubleshooting and data entry.

Essential Skills

+ Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician Registration (must be obtained by hire date).

+ Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

+ Eagerness to learn about the pharmacy profession.

+ Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.

Work Environment

The work hours are Monday to Friday from 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM, and every other weekend from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Overtime is not required, but weekend work is necessary. The interview process includes one in-person round. The team consists of HD Pharmacy Technicians, HD Pharmacy Technicians, and the Supervisor of HD Pharmacy Operations. The position will be performed at Pharmscript of New Jersey, NJ312. Dress code compliance is expected.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
