We are currently seeking several Prototype Automotive Mechanics to join our team in Novi, MI.

Job responsibilities include:

+ Retrofit of vehicles

+ Upfit of vehicles

+ Diagnostics of build concerns

+ Diagnostics of vehicle programming

+ Assist engineering team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective action

+ Complete reports on concerns found during assigned project

+ Tracking personal progress to ensure department and corporate objectives are met

+ Maintain delivery timing on assignments

+ Quality checks of pre and post builds.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of automotive mechanic experience

+ Experience with equipment such as hoists, liquid evacuation, tools for engine removals, other

+ Willing to work overtime as needed

+ Strong automotive mechanical skills, problem solving skills

+ Vehicle diagnostics, vehicle re-flash programming

+ Reasonably skilled in the understanding of vehicle operation in HVAC, Fuel/Exhaust, Brake System, Engine Electrical, Body Electrical, Transmission/Transfer case, Front-Wheel Drive Transaxle, Automatic Transmission, Minor Body/Interior.

+ Reasonable computer skills in accessing, reading, and inputting required vehicle repair data

+ State of Michigan, ASE, and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
