Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description
This role involves performing daily lab testing to ensure the quality and safety of our products. You will engage in a variety of tests and analyses, contributing significantly to our operations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform daily lab testing for sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, and oxygen levels.
+ Conduct stability tests on pre- and post-bottling products and report results to the Lab Manager.
+ Identify bacteria and yeast cells under a microscope.
+ Review and report all test results with the Lab Manager.
+ Perform and record results on all bulk, blends, and fermentations.
+ Conduct sensory checks and record data for corks.
+ Accurately perform lab procedures according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Maintain overall lab cleanliness, inventory, data entry, and chemical checks.
+ Assist the Quality Assurance department and perform Quality Control checks as needed.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in sciences such as Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
+ Familiarity with lab safety protocols and SOPs.
+ Competence in using Excel, Word, and basic computer skills.
+ Experience with microscopes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Food or beverage manufacturing experience is a plus.
+ GMP experience is an advantage.
+ Can be entry-level from school or have 6+ months of industry experience.
Work Environment
You will work in a state-of-the-art lab with two other lab technicians, with occasional trips to the production floor to collect samples. Our operations prioritize exploration, creativity, and teamwork, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

This is a Contract position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
