Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will support production operations by designing tools and fixtures, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring smooth and efficient production flow. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, CAD design, and implementing continuous improvement
initiatives on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
+ Design and optimize production flow, tools, jigs, and fixtures using 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor or equivalent).
+ Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
+ Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prototype, test, and implement tooling and process solutions.
+ Identify and execute process improvement projects to increase throughput, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
+ Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting manufacturing issues as they arise.
+ Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
+ Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing tooling and processes for new parts and assemblies.
+ Assist in maintaining and improving process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
+ 1-3 years of experience working as a manufacturing or mechanical engineer
+ Proficiency in 3D CAD design and drafting (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, NX, or similar)
+ Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, sheet metal, or composites).
+ Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and continuous improvement tools.
+ Understanding of GD&T, design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and process documentation.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across functions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
