    We are seeking a Quality and Safety Manager to develop, implement, and manage the company's comprehensive Quality and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for all power generation construction and data center projects. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, identifying and mitigating risks, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in quality and safety performance.

     

    This opportunity is to work in office Monday- Friday in St. Cloud, MN.

    Key Responsibilities:

    o Develop and oversee the implementation of company-wide and project-specific EHS plans, procedures, and training programs.

    o Implement and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with industry standards, such as ISO 9001, to ensure project quality control.

    o Conduct regular inspections to identify and assess potential hazards, evaluate working conditions, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with Project Managers on job sites as necessary to complete safety audits.

    o Organize and conduct safety training during new hire orientations, develop and submit toolbox talks/videos for Project Manager to present during job safety briefs, training sessions for employees, and hold subcontractors accountable to all company safety and quality policies and regulations. Topics may include but are not limited to medium and high voltage electrical safety, confined spaces, ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection.

    o Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and incidents using Root Cause Analysis to determine cause and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

    o Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, quality control data, and incident reports, and prepare regular reports for management.

     

    This position requires intermittent availability during weekends, evenings, and early mornings for emergency projects. This does not restrict the use of their time off from work and will only be required to report to work when emergency jobs are prevalent.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience.

    • 5+ years of experience managing safety for heavy construction projects, with a strong preference for experience in the power utility industry (transmission, distribution, substation).

    • CPR/First Aid certification required.

    • OSHA 30 and OSHA 40 HAZWOPER are required

    • 5+ years of ISO 9001 QMS experience or similar

    • Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations (especially OSHA 1926 for construction ), utility-specific safety protocols, and DOT regulations.

    • Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) , Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) is highly preferred.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Cloud, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
