Job Title: Industrial Engineer (2nd Shift)Job Description
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated production and service delivery systems at the production site. The focus will be on ensuring performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control. The role aims to achieve profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.
Responsibilities
+ Participate as a project team member to implement projects that eliminate waste using standard Industrial Engineering processes, including Capital Equipment Requests, Capabilities Studies, Plant Layouts, Tool Design, and Standard Work.
+ Develop time standards for process steps to be used in the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB).
+ Gather and analyze Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customers or areas.
+ Coordinate layout and facility moves for assigned customers or areas.
+ Collect, analyze, and review IEDB data to ensure accuracy and compliance with standard processes.
+ Monitor SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations and ensure compliance with standardized system configurations.
+ Gather and/or develop data for quotes.
+ Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team.
+ Support and maintain all lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities.
+ Ensure the standardization of processes throughout the site in accordance with global, regional, and site directions.
+ Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement.
+ Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in industrial engineering and process improvement.
+ Experience with time studies and Product-Process-Time Database.
+ Ability to perform process documentation, product flow, and material flow.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
+ Strong analytical ability and communication skills.
+ Experience with mechanical assembly, kitting, and kanban.
+ Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools, such as work measurement, process mapping, facilities, and workstation design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proven record of successful change management accomplishments.
+ Experience implementing and managing continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
+ Data-focused with strong analytical skills.
Work Environment
The position operates in a climate-controlled, clean environment during the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM. Required attire includes composite toe or steel-toe shoes with rubber soles, jeans or work pants, and a t-shirt or polo. Large dangling jewelry, spandex, and exposed midriffs are not permitted. This is a Contract position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
