Role Summary
As part of the Rx Claim Strategic team, you will be expected to be proficient in all critical functions of the application development and will champion SDLC methodologies with a deep understanding of best practices to ensure that quality standards are met. Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Architect / Full Stack Developer to join our innovative technology team. This role is critical in shaping our cloud strategy and developing robust, scalable applications that meet our business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies, full stack development, and architectural best practices. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions that enhance our operational efficiency and drive business growth. The position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems.
What you will do:
- Provide technical vision, drive strategy around solutions, solve complex problems, and successfully execute across the Cloud, backend solution, automation and more
- Act as a technical owner across strategic efforts involving the Cloud, backend solution, automation and more
- Become a trusted technical decision-maker for important initiatives
- Plot and execute on the path from prototype to production for capabilities and features
- Design and implement cloud-based architectures and full stack applications that are scalable, secure, and resilient.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders, to define technical requirements and create robust and scalable architectures that meet business objectives
- Design, Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Lead the development of microservices, APIs, and serverless architectures on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
- Lead, mentor and work with a team of engineers onsite and offshore to deliver multiple use cases and products.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.
- Designing and implementing complex software solutions for API's, microservices, CI/CD, real-time streaming pipelines etc... on cloud
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns.
- Identify and solve complex technical problems that arise during the development process
- Provide recommendations on technology selection and integration, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, accessibility, and maintainability
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, design principles, and development frameworks to ensure software solutions remain current, fresh, and future proof.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, driving technical excellence, establishing web best practices, and ensuring the use of industry-standard methodologies and technologies
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on cloud architecture and full stack development including the following:
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular, React, or Node.js.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native application design.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and serverless computing.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Significant experience in monitoring application performance using tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, etc., showcasing expertise in optimizing performance and reliability.
- Knowledge of SAML and OAuth2 for authentication, is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
- Master’s degree in a related STEM field.
- Experience in leading technical teams and projects, with strong project management skills.
Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
