    Job Title: Material Supervisor/Material Planning & Logistics Process Coach

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Material Supervisor to oversee UAW employees across various areas of the plant. You will be responsible for managing 50-90 employees, ensuring they complete daily tasks efficiently and adhere to policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise UAW employees within different plant areas.

    + Manage daily tasks and hold employees accountable to follow policies and procedures.

    + Oversee material handling and logistics operations within the automotive environment.

    + Ensure compliance with union regulations and maintain positive relations.

    + Facilitate communication and coordination among team members to enhance productivity.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience supervising within a union environment.

    + Background in automotive, preferably within logistics.

    + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

    + Basic computer literacy, specifically with Excel.

    + 3-5 years of supervision experience within an automotive facility.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Recommendations from Ford Management employees are advantageous.

    + Strong soft skills and resilience are crucial for success in this role.

    Work Environment

     

    The role requires flexibility with hours and shifts, including working 60-70 hours per week in a fast-paced environment. Decision-making on the fly is essential. The position involves a rotating swing shift every 3 months between A, B, and C crews. Business casual attire is expected, and supervisors are required to be present 30-45 minutes before and after production shifts.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
