We're hiring a Maintenance Technician for a food production facility in West Deptford, NJ

This is a contract to hire opportunity and we're hiring immediately. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of production and processing equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout the facility. This includes equipment used for food processing, packaging, conveyors, refrigeration systems, and general facility infrastructure.

Shift: 5 Days a week

1st Shift 05:00AM - 1:00PM@ Sunday-Thursday

2nd Shift 2:00PM - 10:30PM@ Monday-Friday

**Pay Rate** $23.00-25.00 depending on experience

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of facilities equipment. Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, this position is pivotal in maintaining the facility and equipment to ensure safety, high efficiency, and quality standards. Your role will be instrumental in contributing to the site's overall strategic direction by conducting preventive maintenance on equipment and ensuring proper stock of parts.

Responsibilities

+ Work safely and adhere to established safety principles and practices.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment based on the PM program.

+ Complete tasks assigned by the manager based on your abilities.

+ Assist in the installation of new equipment.

+ Maintain equipment to maximize efficiency.

+ Ensure refrigeration and evaporator cleaning.

+ Monitor belt conditions and conveyor systems.

+ Ensure proper electrical connections.

+ Perform machinery repairs in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Document repairs and preventive maintenance to meet food safety standards for a food production facility.

+ Perform other assignments as required within your job scope and abilities.

Work Environment

Work in a cold storage environment, mostly at temperatures of 38/40 degrees, where dressing warmly is essential. PPE including hairnets, lab coats, and slip-resistant shoes or boots are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
