    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive all incoming deliveries and check items for damage.

    + Verify received items against purchase orders and seek assistance if needed.

    + Mark the purchase order copy as received, initial, and date it.

    + Attach the purchase order copy to the packing slip and forward it to the office.

    + Mark and stage items for jobs, including Job No., Equip. No., and a brief description on the box.

    + Store and stage marked items in designated locations.

    + Pull parts for staging and production while protecting them from damage and weather.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating forklifts.

    + Experience in shipping and receiving, including Bills of Lading and ERP systems.

    + Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control.

    + At least 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong data entry skills.

    + Experience in logistics, loading, and inventory management.

    + Must have experience in manufacturing, not just distribution.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a small, yet machine-filled shop with 20 hourly employees. The environment is production-based, yet work-life balance is prioritized. Shifts are typically from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, but flexibility to work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm is required for later shipments. The machine shop is located in Canton and is known for its supportive and collaborative atmosphere.

    This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
