    Shipping and Receiving Worker

     

    1st Shift

     

    Overview

     

    The primary role of the Shipping and Receiving Worker is to efficiently pick and pack parts, load and unload finished goods and raw materials, and receive incoming goods. You will operate a sit down forklift to pick materials, stage items, and load and unload trucks. The typical schedule is 6AM - 2:30PM Monday - Friday with potential overtime after the shift.     Responsibilities

    + Safely support the completion of customer orders by picking and packing parts and parts boxes required in the bill of materials, verifying for accuracy.

    + Process all transactions in company systems accurately and in a timely manner.

    + Load finished goods and unload raw materials, checking against the bill of materials and bills of lading.

    + Receive incoming materials and parts.

    + Cross-train in all areas of the Shipping and Receiving Department.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse environment.

    + Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift.

    + Scanning experience.

    + Ability to count and document accurately.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Basic math skills.

    + Ability to read a scale.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Familiarity with BOL (Bill of Lading), shipping software, inventory control, warehouse inventory, and ERP systems.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential for overtime at the end of shifts. The role requires sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift, with occasional kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dekalb, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr.
