    Position Description

    Primary Purpose:

    + Position reports to the VP of Finance for the Products Pipelines business unit and is responsible for providing leadership and effective management of the operations finance group. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range outlook processes for operating expenses and capital spend across the business unit. Provide support to the operations organization and financial analysis which drive efficiencies.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Lead a team that monitors and reviews operating expenses and capital spend, ensures accuracy during budget development, and tracks progress towards budgeted goals.

    + Provide oversight for expense processes across operations.

    + Lead efforts to develop, standardize, and improve associated processes and procedures.

    + Promote open and continuous communication between various departments including finance, operations, and accounting groups. Responsible for integrating a finance team into the operations organization.

    + Communicate operating expense reporting to management and propose other key financial metric reports as needed.

    + Able to manage and identify operating cost overruns and propose solutions to mitigate issues.

    + Prepares and manages reports for various boards and management presentations.

    + Provide Leadership and consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets, employees, and the general public.

    Position Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or similar with emphasis in Finance or Accounting or equivalent professional experience.

    Experience / Specific Knowledge:

    + 5 or more years’ experience in the energy industry with hybrid background including financial planning, cost control, and operations.

    + Experience with finance planning systems/processes, cost control systems, team building, and resource planning.

    + Requires comprehensive knowledge of financial and accounting systems.

    + Well versed in setting up cost tracking systems including budgets, forecasts, actual costs, accruals.

    + Training and experience in planning, budgeting and/or staff management.

    Certification, licenses, registrations:

    + A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company's insurer and a current, valid State driver's license are required.

    + Candidate must pass the company's background check and drug test to be eligible for hire.

    + If the employee is subject to license or certification requirements or training as stipulated by local, state or federal agencies or the Company, now or in the future, compliance is required under this job description.

    Competencies, skills, and abilities:

    + Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.

    + Requires strong communication and leadership skills as well as strong analytical skills to solve problems and determine appropriate courses of action.

    + Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.

    + Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions to various problems

    + Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction.

    + Solid leadership, strong verbal and written communication, motivation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage and lead individuals with varying disciplines, backgrounds and experience levels.

    + Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

    + Must be accountable and take direction from Management; keep required work schedules; focus attention on details; follow work rules.

    Working Conditions:

    + Majority of the work will be conducted from an office environment.

    + Available to travel to multiple KM field sites throughout the United States on an as needed basis.

    + Must be willing to work additional hours, as needed.

    Supervisory responsibility:

    + Manage a full-time staff
