    Job Title: Millwright

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team in a growing company specializing in agricultural construction, de-construction, and rigging. The role involves dismantling and constructing grain equipment inside processing plants, building and dismantling grain elevators and conveyors, and working in a custom fabrication shop to build and install equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Trouble-shoot, repair and install conveyor systems

    + Interpret shop drawings

    + Perform complex riggings and precision installation of equipment, machinery, or components, including anchoring, leveling, and aligning.

    + Fabrication Welding

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Experience as a millwright, mechanic, or fabrication welding

    + Experience with welding techniques such as stick, MIG, and TIG welding.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1 year of fabrication welding experience.

    + 6 months of job site welding or fabrication experience.

    + Ability to work from heights.

    + Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in agricultural processing plants, ethanol plants, or grain elevators, both inside and outside. Collaborate with a team of 4-5 people under a foreman or superintendent. Typical working hours are from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with variation depending on project needs. Be on call once a month with compensation.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CEDAR RAPIDS, IA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
