    Job Title: Mold Setup Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Mold Setup Technician to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for changing and setting up mold machines while providing maintenance support to enhance production efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career progression towards becoming a Master Technician.

    Responsibilities

    + Change and setup mold machines efficiently.

    + Provide mechanical support by troubleshooting injection machine malfunctions.

    + Remove and set up die/tooling for subsequent production runs.

    + Remove all wires and hoses post-run to facilitate tooling and mold removal.

    + Select and place new tooling within machines, ensuring all connections are properly secured for the Process Technician.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of tools and mechanical assembly/disassembly.

    + Ability to use a multi-meter for mechanical repairs.

    + Experience with mold change and mold setting.

    + Knowledge in injection molding, mechanics, and hand/power tools.

    + Familiarity with blueprints and machine setup.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior industrial manufacturing experience with machinery.

    + Experience in plastics and mold setting is a significant advantage.

    + Experience with overhead cranes, Lock Out Tag Out procedures, and cylinder repair.

    + Any industrial maintenance experience is beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is on the 3rd shift with a 2-2-3 schedule from 7 pm to 7 am. It is a hot and loud setting with a noticeable plastic smell. The facility is non-climate controlled. The dress code includes t-shirts, hoodies without strings, and closed-toe rubber sole shoes. Tattoos and hair color are acceptable as long as they are not offensive.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
