Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our team. This is a direct hire position, offering benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and conformance of parts through rigorous inspection processes. You will engage with production teams to communicate findings and ensure adjustments are made as necessary.

Responsibilities

+ Retrieve parts from the machine, clean, dry, and transport them to the quality room.

+ Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, comparators/shadow graphs, and weighing scales to perform quality checks.

+ Conduct first piece, in-process, and final inspections both visually and dimensionally using a magnifying glass and microscope.

+ Document all inspection results and findings in the quality systems on the computer.

+ Interpret simple blueprints for dimensions and inspection processes.

+ Communicate with all levels of production regarding findings, non-conformances, and necessary adjustments.

+ Operate within ERP systems daily to generate and present reports.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector.

+ Proficient in visual and dimensional inspection under a scope or magnifying glass.

+ Experience with micrometers and pin gauges.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with shadow graph/comparators.

+ Familiarity with scales.

+ Ability to work effectively in a small team environment and assist colleagues as needed.

Work Environment

Work in a well-lit shop floor, in a standard production environment. You will have your own work station, separate from the main production area, and will work within a small team. The role requires moving around the production floor throughout the day. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with some flexibility available.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bristol, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $45760.00/yr.
