Job Title: Grindroom/Furnace Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer for our third shift in the Grindroom/Furnace area. The shift runs from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, following a 2-2-3-3 schedule, alternating between 36 and 48-hour work weeks. This role involves retrieving glass from the yard using a front-end loader, monitoring and emptying bins and glass sifters, and ensuring furnaces operate efficiently from the control room. Training will be provided for all necessary tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Retrieve glass from the yard using a front-end loader.

+ Monitor and empty bins and glass sifters.

+ Operate and monitor furnaces from the control room.

+ Perform general maintenance duties, including sweeping dust.

+ Utilize hand and power tools for various tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.

+ Mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Self-motivated and hard-working.

+ Adaptable and willing to learn.

+ Strong attendance record is crucial.

+ Forklift or front-end loader experience is a bonus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $22.84/hr.
