    Job Title: Set Up Technician

    Job Description

    Install and set up injection molds for production. Start up injection molding machines in a fast-paced custom injection molding facility safely and efficiently. Assist the Shift Supervisor in scheduling operators, providing operator training, and performing all supervisory functions in the absence of the Shift Supervisor. Troubleshoot and adjust injection molding machine parameters to maintain quality and maximize product output. Address and correct molding quality defects, ensuring a clean and safe work environment within the molding department.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and change over molds for production runs.

    + Ensure proper machine operation and part quality.

    + Troubleshoot molding issues and perform basic maintenance.

    + Work closely with production and maintenance teams to optimize efficiency.

    + Respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions.

    + Assist in various maintenance functions, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all injection molding equipment.

    + Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 3 years of experience in injection molding mold setup.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

    + Ability to read and interpret setup sheets.

    + Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1-3 years of injection molding setup and processing experience.

    + Supervisory experience is a plus.

    + Experience with engineering resins such as Nylon, Acetal, and Polycarbonate is a plus.

    + Familiarity with Van Dorn Demag and HAIDA molding machines and robotic robots.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr.
