    Facility:Dayton Children's - Tech TownDepartment:Donor Engagement AdministrationSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The donor communications strategist will have broad responsibilities for mass donor communications, with specific leadership responsibility for all direct response initiatives and donor stewardship. Reporting to the Director of Donor Engagement but with cross-team responsibilities, this position will be charged with developing, executing and evaluating comprehensive communications strategies, online and offline, to increase philanthropy and deepen constituent engagement. This position must have experience with and comprehensive knowledge of direct response vehicles and donor communications best practices and be effective in executing technical needs with the systems that support the hospital’s development programs. Tasks to be accomplished are in collaboration with the broader foundation and marketing teams.

    Department Specific Job Details:

    Education

    + Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a field of study in marketing, communications, or project management.

    + Master's degree preferred.

    Experience required

    + 4-6 years of experience in communications and/or direct-response marketing or related field

    + Self-starter; must use knowledge and creativity to advance robust donor communications.

    + Experience managing projects from conceptualization to completion; excellent management fundamentals including planning, project communication, and project analysis.

    + Innovative marketing experience; well-developed sense of audience needs; ability to communicate effectively with various constituencies.

    + Familiarity with content management systems and content relationships management tools; requires working knowledge of HTML; comfort with graphic design and video editing software.

    + Results-driven individual with desire to enhance acquisition, conversion, retention, stewardship and marketing.

    + Proven ability to multitask and prioritize; highly detail-oriented; able to execute quickly and efficiently.

    + Experience working in print/digital communications.

    Preferred experience

    + 6-8 years of experience

    + Knowledge of donor segmentation and previous direct special event and direct mail fundraising experience

    + Experience with and understanding of emerging technologies; ability to master fundraising platforms and systems (eg. Fundraise Up, Team Raiser, Luminate Online, Raiser’s Edge, etc.)
