Description We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Newport Beach, California. This role focuses on managing high-volume leave administration and employee benefits for a multi-state workforce, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. You will play a critical part in supporting employees and maintaining efficient processes that align with organizational standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer leave of absence processes for hourly employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on multi-state leave laws, providing guidance on eligibility, documentation, and tracking for employees.

• Coordinate the return-to-work process, including communication and accommodations for employees returning from leave.

• Manage self-insured benefits programs, overseeing enrollment, eligibility, and addressing inquiries from employees.

• Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to streamline leave and benefits administration, maintaining adherence to policies and procedures.

• Monitor and update benefits and leave policies to reflect changes in state and federal regulations.

• Maintain accurate records and files related to employee benefits and leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.

• Analyze leave usage trends and compliance performance, identifying opportunities for process improvements.

• Provide clear communication and guidance to employees and managers on leave and benefits procedures. Requirements • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing multi-state leaves for a high-volume hourly workforce.

• Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Hands-on experience administering benefits in a self-insured organization.

• Proficiency in HR systems, such as Paycom, for tracking leave and benefits.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail when handling sensitive employee data.

• Excellent communication skills for educating employees and collaborating with managers.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. TalentMatch®
