    Description

    Robert Half is proud to represent a small government entity in immediately hiring an experienced, hands-on Sr. Accountant to support a one-person finance operation during a cleanup and stabilization period. Responsibilities include reconciling bank accounts, performing fund and grant accounting, reviewing and improving internal controls, assisting with budget development, and preparing routine financial reports. The contractor will work 3 days on-site in Hamilton, Tx. and 2 days remote each week. Ideal candidates have strong municipal/governmental accounting experience, the ability to work independently, and a track record of organizing and improving small finance departments.     Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

     

    Strong MS Excel experience, EnCode experience a plus

     

    Working GAAP knowledge and implementing accounting controls
