Looking for an experienced Tax Staff member for our client in the Fairfield, Connecticut area. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while engaging in diverse tax planning and compliance activities. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies related to business sales, acquisitions, and mergers.

• Prepare and review individual tax returns, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.

• Provide personalized tax planning services for business owners and executives.

• Handle tax preparation and planning for trusts, estates, and foundations.

• Conduct detailed analyses of proposed investments to assess tax and economic impacts.

• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx software to streamline tax preparation processes.

• Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for tax savings and optimize their financial strategies.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff members when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns and handling complex tax matters.

• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax software.

• Strong knowledge of tax planning strategies for businesses and individuals.

• Ability to analyze investments for tax implications and economic feasibility.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for client interactions.

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
