Description We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This is a contract-to-permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI technologies to real-world challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data preprocessing, and model development, as well as a keen interest in exploring innovative AI tools and frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Design, train, and optimize machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Keras.

• Integrate AI solutions into existing applications and services within secure on-premises environments.

• Experiment with large language models (LLMs) and agent-based coding tools to assess their potential for automation and analytics.

• Process and analyze structured and unstructured data from various internal systems to enhance model performance.

• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with Criminal Justice Information Systems and Personally Identifiable Information protection standards.

• Work alongside analysts and IT professionals to identify opportunities for AI-driven operational improvements.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality outcomes.

• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and prototype new tools while adhering to data governance principles.

• Conduct feature engineering and model evaluations to refine AI solutions. Requirements • Proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Keras.

• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines, and AI agent frameworks.

• Strong programming skills in Python or C#.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices and data protection standards.

• Ability to work with structured and unstructured datasets from various sources, including databases, APIs, and logs.

• Analytical skills to solve complex problems and implement innovative solutions.

• Effective communication abilities for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
