Description

Robert Half is partnering with a company with an office location in Issaquah for a contract SEC Reporting Accountant position. This is a 3-4 month contract that with be a hybrid set up for 3 days per week in office. The ideal candidate will have previous SEC reporting experience and has advanced Excel skills.

+ Support the accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (such as Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, 11-K, SD, etc.), including the creation and tagging of XBRL exhibits.

+ Update and maintain documentation for all external financial reporting and disclosures, ensuring compliance with current and emerging regulations.

+ Assist in the calculation of stock-based compensation expenses and related disclosures, as well as the determination of earnings per share.

+ Prepare comprehensive technical accounting memos outlining company accounting policies and recommendations for management review.

+ Participate in special projects by performing research and analysis, while accurately interpreting and applying accounting guidance.

+ Create and maintain financial reports and perform analyses using Financial Reporting software.

+ Prepare selected statutory-basis financial statements.

+ Demonstrate understanding of departmental key controls, execute them as required, and clearly explain procedures to others as needed.

+ Maintain regular, reliable attendance at the assigned work location.

+ Utilize standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, copiers, scanners, and 10-key calculators.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, with at least one year of professional experience in accounting or finance.

+ Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.

+ Proven ability to remain organized and effective when working under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

+ Excellent time management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

+ Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively across various teams, including with management, Accounting, IT, international business counterparts, and external auditors.

+ Adaptable to changing priorities, tasks, information, and regulations in dynamic work settings.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) and strong general technical skills, with the ability and willingness to learn new software and systems.

+ Flexibility with work hours to accommodate business needs.
