Position Title: Quality Control Technician** **Shift:** **1st

Wage Range: $23.95** **Differential: none

**Status** : Full Time

Responsible for supporting the QA department through product control, verification procedures, organization, compliance and inspection of finished goods.

PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights).

+ Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.)

+ Finished product quality checks.

+ CCP Direct Observations and documentation

+ Metal Detector calibrations & documentation.

+ Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant.

+ Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance.

+ Check bellies at Bacon Press forproper temperature and feel of belly

+ Lead and document leaker checks

+ Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation

+ Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros.

+ Return product checks/releases.

+ Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations.

+ Printing cool down charts for process control sheets.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

+ Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.

+ Bilingual Spanish desired.

+ One year of experience in QA/QC department in a manufacturing environment desired.

+ HACCP & SQF training/certification desired.

+ Ability to work under minimum supervision.

+ Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.

+ Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely & effective manner.

+ Microsoft Office Experience required.
