A Snapshot of Your Day
Siemens Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Project Manager to join the GS NA Controls & Digitalization team in Alpharetta, GA.
In this role, the Commercial Project Manager (CPM) will oversee all commercial and financial aspects of assigned customer contracts (“Projects”) from project turnover through closeout. The CPM will work closely with the local Project Manager and cross-functional project teams to deliver clear, accurate, and timely commercial insights, including cost management, revenue recognition, and cash flow analysis throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include sales controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting and reporting, and month-end financial activities, ensuring strong governance and full commercial transparency.
How You’ll Make an Impact

+ Manage projects end-to-end — from order acceptance, cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, revenue recognition, and cash flow management — while maintaining data integrity across SAP and reporting tools.
+ Lead financial planning, forecasting, reconciliation, deviation analysis, and risk/opportunity assessments to prevent margin erosion and drive performance improvements through initiatives like claim management and optimized costing.
+ Support Project Managers with change order management, contractual requirements, and alignment of supplier/subcontractor terms; collaborate with Procurement to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to project guidelines.
+ Evaluate international business models, considering tax and export implications (withholding tax, VAT, import fees), and coordinate performance guarantees, insurance requirements, and other commercial obligations.
+ Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach in fast-paced environments; present findings effectively to all levels while applying solid Accounting and Controlling expertise (revenue recognition, loss calculations, etc.).
What You Bring
+ BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree
+ 1-5 years of successful experience in related field
+ Proficient in SAP (including Billing and Project modules) with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience creating automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
+ Strong organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
+ Works well both independently and in team environments, demonstrating reliability, collaboration, and adaptability.
