Nursing Supervisor (RN) - Intermediate Care - Full Time Nights

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: Full Time Nights - 40hrs./week. (variable) weekend and holiday requirements

The Intermediate Care Unit is searching for a Registered Nurse who maintains a high degree of confidentiality, possesses positive interpersonal skills and is customer service focused. This unit is a 35-bed unit in the Hamon Tower. We specialize in the care of cardiovascular surgical patients, thoracic surgical patients, vascular surgical patients, Cath lab patients, heart failure patients, pacemakers, and all cardiac conditions. This unit is a high acuity telemetry unit that signifies a reduced nurse to patient ratio. We have self-scheduling which helps with the work/life balance as well. Our patient ratio is 4:1-5:1, depending on acuity levels
Here's What You Need:
+ Associate Degree Nursing
+ Bachelor Degree Nursing preferred
+ 2 Years' experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) Required
+ RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
+ BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
+ ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
+ CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req And
+ BCMSN - Board Certified Medical-Surgical Nurse Upon Hire Pref Or
+ CRRN - Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse Upon Hire Pref Or
+ PCCN - Progressive Care Nurse Certified Upon Hire Pref
What You Will Do
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Nurse Supervisor will
+ Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
+ maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients and staff
+ possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
+ have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
The Nursing Supervisor will support, coach, manage staff and resources to meet unit and hospital goals. When needed, will assist in patient care. This position is a great platform to connect with leadership and cultivate skills. Provides crucial opportunities for experience to grow professionally in a hospital system with many avenues for advancement.
