Assistant Vice President, Fund Accounting

At RGP, we are seeking a AVP of Fund Accounting to oversee the day-to-day accounting and reporting activities for open-ended core real estate funds. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely financial deliverables while collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex processes in a dynamic environment.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. The initial project phase will be delivered through RGP. Following a defined trial or conversion period, full-time employment will be reviewed and may be offered based on performance and business needs.
+ Oversee daily fund accounting operations for open-ended real estate funds administered internally and externally.
+ Liaise with third-party fund administrators on cash management, capital allocations, accruals, expense budgeting, financial statements, capital calls, distributions, redemptions, and investor requests.
+ Review quarterly estimates and final fund NAVs.
+ Calculate waterfall and incentive models.
+ Manage expense processes and ensure compliance firm policies.
+ Deliver financial reporting for quarterly close and produce GAAP-compliant quarterly and annual fund partnership financial statements.
+ Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and ensure SOX compliance with internal audit.
+ Review quarterly and annual financial regulatory reporting.
+ Collaborate with internal teams including Tax, Acquisitions, Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Legal & Compliance, Investor Client Services, FP&A, Technology, and Treasury.
+ Manage and oversee offshore team operations.
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
+ Experience in audit, fund accounting, or fund administration.
+ Experience with open-ended funds; real estate industry experience strongly preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of Investment Company accounting and industry performance metrics.
+ Exceptional attention to detail, integrity, and work ethic.
+ Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and work collaboratively across teams.
+ Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
+ Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
+ Pay Range: $65-$85/hr. _DOE_
