DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design and develop frameworks in credit and debit card domain to service customers. Build APIs that can handle payments with high availability of systems. Build automation frameworks that auto-remediates any system instability issues. Build Test design development models with iterative feedback based development with leading edge technologies. Handle funded initiatives and take bottom line ownership of applications. Design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java/Spring to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams. Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce or contribute to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires 5 years of experience with the following: Using REACT and Node JS ecosystem; Utilizing Kafka for high-throughput streaming, enabling real-time message processing and reliable event- driven architectures; Building microservices on distributed NoSQL databases such as Cassandra; Automating infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using Terraform and CloudFormation, adhering to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles; Managing cloud-native applications in AWS, utilizing services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Snowflake, and CloudWatch for monitoring and analytics; Developing back-end services and APIs leveraging latest versions of Java , J2EE, Maven, Jenkins, and Spring Boot; Building RESTful APIs with integrations for external and internal systems, ensuring communication between services; performance testing and optimization using tools such as JMeter or BlazeMeter, focusing on load testing, stress testing, and capacity planning; Using JUnit to write tests for test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration processes. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Designing banking applications using microservice architecture to deploy on multiple platforms such as Unix, Windows, or Cloud using principles of agile methodology; Implementing advanced resiliency patterns, including circuit breakers, bulkheads, retries, and rate-limiters, enhancing fault tolerance and system stability; Designing solutions for batch processing systems using Spring Batch to handle data processing; Database technology such as Oracle or Cockroach; Creating and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, and GitLab CI; Implementing performance optimization techniques which includes query optimization, distributing caching strategies (ElastiCache) for public cloud AWS, Gemfire for private cloud Pivot cloud foundry, and content delivery network (CDN) integration to improve response times and scalability; Implementing containerized solutions using Docker and orchestration engines with Kubernetes; Executing comprehensive automated testing strategies using Cucumber for behavioral-driven development (BDD); using Apache ZooKeeper to manage and coordinate distributed systems; Utilizing Apache Hive to providing data summarization, query, and analysis capabilities using called HiveQL; Tableau; Workflows, MVC; JDBC; Servlets; JSP; CSS HTML; JQuery; Angular JS; Analyzing application health and performance using observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, or CloudWatch; Applying Chaos Engineering principles to identify system vulnerabilities using Gremlin; Collaborating with DevOps teams to streamline deployments and manage infrastructure; Securing Microservices using Microsoft Active Directory Federation services and Kerberos-based protocols; and identifying Credit card frauds like AML detection process using tools such as Actimize.
