    Job Description

    Now Hiring Full-Time** **Nurse Managers** **and** **Assistant Nurse Managers** **at** **Mount Sinai West** **and** **Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center

     

    Lead with purpose and make a difference in patient care! We are seeking a passionate and experienced RN leader to manage and oversee nursing practice and operations in our dynamic healthcare environment.

    Qualifications

    + BSN, master’s degree in nursing or health health-related field preferred

    + 3–5 years RN experience in in the assigned nursing practice area.

    + 2 years of leadership experience (Charge RN, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor)

    + Proven Clinical and Nursing administrative expertise in the assigned nursing practice area.

    + Critical thinking and organizational skills are essential.

    + Licensure: Current NYS license as a registered professional nurse

    + Child abuse certification is required

    + Infection control certification is required

    + Certification: Basic Life Saver (BLS) Required Issuing Agency: AHA

    + Certification: NRP (Labor and Delivery, NICU dept)

    + Certification: ACLS (in ED; PACU/ASU; ICUs; Telemetry Units; SDU; IR, Interventional

    + Cardiology (CCL/EP/Echo); L&D; Endoscopy, and APN Adult Oncology

    + Certification: PALS (in ED; PACU; IR; Peds ICU, and APNs Pediatric Oncology depts.)

    Responsibilities

    All leaders should have universal Nurse Manager experience with the following:

    + Budget ownership (labor & supplies)

    + Staff engagement surveys (NDNQI, Press Ganey)

    + Quality metrics (falls, CLABSI, CAUTI, readmissions)

    + Regulatory readiness (mock surveys, tracer prep)

    + Shared governance & unit-based councils

    + Strong staffing and throughput management (high census, frequent admissions/discharges)

    + HCAHPS improvement initiatives

    Available Full Time Clinical Nurse Manager Positions at MSW (Day Shift):

    + Behavioral Health: 3–5 years RN experience in psychiatric or behavioral health

    + Amenities & Hemodialysis: 3–5 years RN experience in Med/Surg, VIP, or ICU

    + Cardiovascular Services: 3–5 years RN in cath lab, CVICU, or cardiac step-down

    + Neuro Stepdown and Med Surg: 3–5 years RN experience in telemetry or cardiac step-down

    + Emergency Services: 3–5 years ED RN experience

    + Medical Oncology: 3–5 years Inpatient Oncology or Chemo Administration experience

    + Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN): 3–5 years L&D or mother-baby RN experience

    + Ambulatory Surgery Center: 3–5 years Freestanding or Hospital-Based Outpatient Surgery

    Available Full Time Clinical Nurse Manager Position at MSBHC (Day Shift):

    + Geriatric Psychiatry: 3–5 years addiction services or medicine RN experience preferred

    Available Full Time Assistant Nurse Manager Positions - Evening 4, 10-hour Shift (1pm–11pm)

    + Stepdown/Med-Surg: minimum of 3 years of acute care stepdown or critical care experience

    + Oncology Med-Surg: minimum of 3 years of acute care oncology nursing experience

    + Telemetry Med/Surg: minimum of 3 years of acute care telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
