Summary You will serve as a LEAD SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Anti-Terrorism and Physical Security Branch (C 1121) of the Security and Fire Office (C 1120) in the Executive Support Staff (C 1100) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will inform employees of available employee benefits, services, and work related activities. You will inform the supervisor of performance management issues/problems and recommend/request related actions. You will lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workload, skill level and/or occupational specialization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience exercising administrative and technical oversight on a regular and continuing basis. Experience making decisions on technical and personnel problems presented by subordinates. Experience planning work to be accomplished by subordinates and coordinating short and long-term priorities. Experience assisting in the development of subordinates, identifying developmental needs and recommending training which can assist in the development of subordinates. Experience developing, managing, evaluating, and implementing major and complex security programs such as the Physical Security Program which is designed to safeguard government personnel, assets, ships, and property, the loss of which affects the Shipyard's mission. Experience achieving the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or the Physical Security Certification (PSC) within two years of acceptance of position.
