    + Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions and production layouts required to fabricate the product.

    + Identify process improvements, capture feedback from Operations and incorporate changes into the manufacturing process.

    + Respond to design and specification changes by capturing details into the manufacturing process.

    + Respond to technical production issues associated with the product being fabricated.

    + Work with maintenance staff to troubleshoot and repair production specific equipment.

    + Generate specifications for procurement of new equipment.

    + Assist in establishing safety requirements for facilities and equipment.

    + Work in a multifunctional team to solve production related issues.

    + Work with Quality Engineering to quickly and efficiently resolve MRB items.

    + Establish Key Characteristics for manufacturing/processing and ensure systems are in place to monitor and control them.

    + Analyze processes and equipment for process capabilities and downtime.

    + Analyze yield and scrap rate data to aid in improving processes.

    + Determine root cause and corrective actions for discrepancies.

    + Generate and maintain Statistical Process Control programs for production products.

    + Work as part of an Integrated Product Team to support both internal and external customers.

    Basic Qualifications

    + 5 Years of experience in manufacturing with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. 9 years of manufacturing experience with be considered in lieu of a degree.

    + US citizenship is required

    + **This is a part time position with less than 20 hours of work expected per week**

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.

    + Knowledge of composites fabrication processing and compression molding using prepreg materials.

    + Experience generating written work instructions for production operations.

    + Experience programming, operating and troubleshooting multi axis robotic systems.

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
