    Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a security professional to fill a position in Sykesville, MD. The successful candidate will act as the Alternate FSO and assist with providing security support to the Sykesville campus leadership, employees, secure areas, programs, and customers. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

     

    + As the Alternate Facility Security Officer, provide support to and coordinate security activities direct with the FSO to ensure NISPOM compliance for the Sykesville campus, its programs, and employees.

    + Provide support to oversight of classified and unclassified programs; be able to provide advice and counsel on security matters/activities that affect programs.

    + Interface with program leadership, team members, and customers in support of program operations. This includes direct interface with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Industrial Security and Counterintelligence representatives.

    + Assist with oversight of activities conducted within Open Storage Areas ensuring they are NISPOM compliant; ensure physical security safeguards are in place to maintain Open Storage accreditation. In addition, assist with maintenance of the physical security integrity of the Sykesville facility/campus, to include oversight of guard support, operation of facility alarms, access control, CCTV, and emergency response and contingency planning.

    + Understand government policy and directives to be able to apply solutions to complex tasks/challenges/assignments that are in compliance with policy.

    + Provide support to the Sykesville Insider Threat Hub; assist with case reviews and investigations, where needed.

    + Assist with investigating security violations and preparation of reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

    + Participate in the preparation of and during internal and external security compliance reviews and audits.

    + As needed, support new business pursuits and classified solicitation activities.

     

    This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.

    Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

    Minimum of a Top Secret Clearance required (must have a current investigation or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) within the last 5-years).

     

    Bachelors degree with 2+ years of Security or relevant experience; an additional 4-years of applicable work experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree.

    Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

    Minimum of a Top Secret clearance required (must have a current investigation or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) within the last 5-years).

     

    Bachelors degree with 5+ years of Security or relevant experience; or Masters degree with 3+ years of Security or relevant experience; An additional 4-years of applicable work experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous FSO, CPSO, or Alternate related experience.

     

    Working knowledge and experience with NISPOM, CUI/NNPI security standards and principles.

     

    Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow projects through to completion on time.

     

    Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively; Must be able to collaborate effectively with customers, security peers and Sykesville leadership and team members.

     

    Proficient with NISS, DISS, SIMS, and Lenel

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00

     

    Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
