About the role
As an **Engineering Manager** , you will make an impact by leading a team of talented engineers to design and deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be a valued member of our technology team and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive innovation and efficiency in projects that support Merchandising, Finance, and accounting functions.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead and mentor a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement software solutions using **Java, Shell scripting, PL/SQL, SQL, and Python** .
+ Oversee project timelines and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
+ Collaborate with business teams to translate needs in **Merchandising, Finance, and Accounting** into technical solutions.
+ Drive innovation by introducing new technologies and methodologies to improve development processes.
+ Ensure code quality and maintainability through reviews and adherence to best practices.

What you need to have to be considered
+ Extensive experience in **Java, Shell scripting, PL/SQL, SQL, and Python** with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address complex technical challenges.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
+ Deep understanding of **Merchandising, Finance, and Accounting** domains.
+ Proficiency in project management and resource allocation.

The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
