Special Education Teacher Needed
Position Overview:
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality educational services to students with special needs (K–12). This role involves collaboration with general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation.
Schedule:
+ Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week
+ Start/End times vary by school location
+ Assignment: Remainder of 2025–2026 school year (possible ESY openings)
Openings:
+ 2 Kindergarten
+ 1 First–Second Grade
+ 5 Third–Fifth Grade
+ 4 Middle School
+ 2 High School (1 MLL position)
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate (per state/district regulations)
+ Minimum 1 year teaching experience (preferred)
+ Certifications: Standard Elementary, Secondary, Special Teaching (preferred)
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Current CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (as applicable)
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
Interview Process:
Virtual interviews will be conducted as informal meet-and-greet sessions to review details and determine best placement.
