    Special Education Teacher (EC Resource Teacher)

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 2:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)

     

    Contract Length: Remainder of 2025–26 school year

    Overview:

    The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality services to students with disabilities in grades K–12. This role focuses on individualized instruction, tutorial assistance, and collaboration with general education staff to support student success in both resource room and inclusive settings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals.

    + Provide academic and behavioral support in resource and general education classrooms.

    + Collaborate with EC team and general education teachers to implement student programs.

    + Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

    + Active NC EC General Curriculum (K–12) License

    + Valid state teaching certificate

    + One year of teaching experience (preferred)
