Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Duxbury, MA, and is seeking a dedicated ABA Sub-Separate Long-Term Substitute to serve as the lead teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.
Start Date: Approximately two weeks from offer acceptance
Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $55/hour (Licensed) | $35/hour (Unlicensed)
Position Overview
This role involves leading a substantially separate classroom for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disabilities.
+ Grade Level: 3rd–5th grade
+ Classroom Setting: Sub-separate program with 3 students
+ Team Structure: Collaborate with two experienced paraprofessionals (with a third being hired)
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the lead teacher, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
+ Develop and maintain behavioral plans aligned with ABA principles
+ Provide academic and behavioral instruction tailored to student needs
+ Supervise and guide paraprofessionals to ensure consistent support
+ Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress
Preferred Qualifications
+ Certification as a Special Education Teacher (highly preferred)
+ Experience working with students with Autism and behavioral challenges
+ Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) strategies and IEP implementation

The Behavior Technician works to facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
