    Position : Lead Quality Auditor & Process Improvement Specialist

    Overview: Nomad Global Communications Solutions is a leading provider of communication and response products serving a wide variety of customers. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Process Improvement Specialist & Lead Quality Auditor to spearhead strategic quality and efficiency initiatives across the organization.

     

    This role is responsible for leading cross-functional process optimization projects, conducting internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and quality management systems, with certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) such as Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and/or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).

    Essential Functions / Responsibility:

    + Lead complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

    + Design, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and cost reduction.

    + Plan and execute internal, supplier, and compliance audits in accordance with ISO 9000, and other applicable standards.

    + Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks, and recommendations; track and verify corrective action implementation.

    + Serve as a subject matter expert in quality systems, process mapping, root cause analysis, and risk management.

    + Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping sessions, and training workshops for employees at all levels.

    + Collaborate with leadership to identify strategic opportunities for business process reengineering.

    + Ensure alignment of process improvements with organizational goals, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.

    + Maintain documentation and records in accordance with quality management system requirements.

    + Mentor and coach junior staff in quality tools, auditing, and continuous improvement strategies.

    + Other duties as required.

    Basic Knowledge Desired:

    + Significant proficiency in Lean Six Sigma and auditing techniques.

    + Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills.

    + Strong leadership and change management capabilities.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

    + Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.

    Physical Demands:

    + Regular use of hands and arms to manipulate, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls. Ability to stand and sit for extended periods as required by task assignment.

    + Frequent standing, walking, and sitting throughout the day. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    + Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Assistance required for anything heavier than 50 pounds.

    + Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and distinguish colors, necessary for both office tasks and production work.

    + Must have the physical stamina to adapt to varying workload demands and stand or sit for prolonged periods depending on the specific tasks of the day.

    Working Environment:

    + Work is split between a partially environmentally controlled indoor manufacturing area and a professional office setting. Temperatures in the manufacturing area can fluctuate between 60°F and 100°F, typically maintained around 70°F in the office.

    + Exposure to varying noise levels from moderate in the office to loud on the production floor; safety hearing devices provided as needed.

    + Possible exposure to household and commercial chemicals with adherence to safety protocols outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) required. Safety glasses and closed-toed shoes are mandatory when on the production floor.

    + Regular interaction with team members, guests, and clients in a professional setting. Everyday workwear must be business casual/smart casual and appropriate for the office environment.

    + Use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators or protective coveralls may be necessary for specific tasks on the production floor.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Quality Management, or a related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or operational excellence roles.

    + Proven success leading Lean Six Sigma projects with measurable results.

    + Strong knowledge of ISO, or other relevant regulatory standards.

    + Experience with ERP, QMS, or data analytics platforms (e.g., SAP, Minitab, Tableau).

    + Certifications desired:

    + ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or equivalent required

    + ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)

    + ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

    + ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)

    + Certified Lean Expert Training

    + Applied Problem Solving (8D) Certified Trainer
