School Psychologist | School-Based | Austin, TX | Full-Time | 37-Week Contract

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking Licensed School Psychologists (LSSPs) — both monolingual and bilingual — to provide quality psychological services to students in kindergarten through grade 12. Under the direction of the district and state guidelines, the School Psychologist will conduct evaluations, provide counseling, and collaborate with staff and families to support student success.

Position Overview

+ Location: Austin, TX

+ Start Date: December 1, 2025

+ End Date: May 28, 2026

+ Duration: 37 weeks

+ Schedule: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

+ Openings: 5 positions available (Monolingual & Bilingual)

+ Modality: Campus-based (guaranteed 1 remote day per week)

Responsibilities

+ Conduct initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility across multiple disability categories (excluding visual, hearing, and speech impairments).

+ Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs); train staff on effective use.

+ Provide direct counseling services to students with emotional or behavioral challenges.

+ Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

+ Support students and staff during crises, including mental health emergencies or behavioral escalations.

+ Deliver professional development on mental health topics, behavior management, and social-emotional learning.

+ Track student outcomes and assist teams in making data-informed decisions.

Requirements

+ Current state licensure/certification in psychology (required)

+ Master’s degree in psychology (preferred)

+ Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations (preferred)

+ Current CPR certification, if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
