CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer III opening for our client in Wilmington, DE.
**Duration:** 12 months
**Location:** Wilmington, DE
Schedule: Hybrid 3 days onsite-2 days remote
Overview
This role focuses on building and modernizing full-stack web applications that support critical business functions. You’ll work across WebForms, MVC, Angular, SQL Server, and C#, while helping move legacy systems toward cloud-native designs in Azure. It’s a hands-on engineering role with technical leadership responsibilities, mentoring opportunities, and plenty of influence on how the team evolves its architecture and tools.
What You’ll Do
+ Lead the design and development of complex full-stack applications from planning through release.
+ Serve as the technical lead on major projects and a trusted resource for the team.
+ Refactor and migrate WebForms applications toward cloud-native solutions in Azure.
+ Build and maintain authentication flows, including SSO.
+ Apply strong data modeling practices using Entity Framework Core.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver features on schedule and with high quality.
+ Review code, build test plans, and dig into challenging debugging issues.
+ Recommend tools and approaches that improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
+ Help modernize legacy components while shaping the direction of future architecture.
+ Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps automation using GitLab.
How You’ll Lead
You’ll operate independently with general guidance, coordinate development efforts, mentor developers, and contribute to evaluating team skill growth. This is leadership through expertise and influence, not formal people management.
Required Qualifications
+ 10+ years of experience in software development.
+ Strong full-stack experience with:
+ **.NET Framework 4.8 (10+ years)**
+ **.NET Core 6+ (5+ years)**
+ **C# (10+ years)**
+ **ASP.NET WebForms (5+ years)**
+ **MVC, Web API (3+ years)**
+ **Angular (5+ years)**
+ **SQL Server (5+ years)**
+ Experience with cloud-native design and refactoring legacy applications for **Azure** .
+ Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean coding practices.
+ Hands-on experience with **Entity Framework Core (3+ years)** .
+ Solid unit testing experience, including mocking frameworks (3+ years).
+ Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipeline work (2+ years).
+ Comfortable working across legacy and modern architectures.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with **PrimeNG** or **KendoUI** .
+ Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (3+ years).
+ Experience integrating with **DocuSign** or **FileNet** .
+ Background in financial services or banking.
+ Proven success leading technical teams and delivering high-quality software.
