    Position purpose:This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for internal and external FAMLI stakeholders. Training will be delivered in a virtual synchronous or self-paced asynchronous web-based format. Training will cover all aspects of FAMLI including systems, rules, business processes and procedures, along with soft skills such as customer service and teambuilding. This position will also have responsibilities related to reviewing and updating training materials (including job aides and quick reference guides) and the coordination of training events. This position will be an expert in all aspects of the FAMLI program to include systems, processes, policy/rules, organizational structure, and organizational culture.

    Duties:

    Training Facilitation: Act as a training facilitator by delivering training to new and existing FAMLI team members and external stakeholders. This training will be offered virtually, live or in a hybrid model. Training facilitation duties also include regularly updating curriculum, maintaining records of training activities and gathering feedback on the quality of training from trainees.

     

    Material Development & Maintenance: Use training design tools and adult learning principles to design and develop the most efficient and effective training deliverables for FAMLI staff and external stakeholders on relevant policies, procedures, and performance-based job tasks. Develop or update training materials or job aides based on changes to systems, rules, policies, process, etc, or make recommendations on how materials can be improved to enhance the training outcomes. Regularly meet and create positive rapport with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather pertinent information regarding needed to create and update curricula. Maintain training materials within Learning Management Systems and other databases.

     

    Training Coordination: As needed, perform various training coordination activities including training schedules, agendas, communications and general training logistics.

     

    Other Duties as Assigned: Position will be required to perform other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience Only:

    Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position such as adult education, training , curriculum development, instructional design, and professional development.

    OR

    Education and Experience:

    A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years such as adult education, training, curriculum development, instructional design, and professional development.

    Required Competencies:

    + Excellent training facilitation skills

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Familiarity with in-person training, virtual platforms, and learning management systems (e.g. SOC Learns, etc.)

    + Familiarity with training design principles such as the ADDIE model and adult learning principles

    + Familiarity with a variety of training tools and technologies such as project management tools, training accessibility software, Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Google Suite

    + Ability to coordinate training events and communicate and liaise with all stakeholders

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in adult based training- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design techniques.

    + Demonstrated experience using multiple formats of training such as virtual, in person, and hybrid.

    + Experience creating e-learning and computer based training using a variety of software such as Articulate, Camtasia, and Adobe.

    + Experience performing duties similar to those assigned to the position as a classified State of Colorado employee.
