    Job Description

    The Director of Go-to-Market (GTM) for Consumer Technology is responsible for shaping and executing the end-to-end commercial strategy for new product launches and category growth initiatives. This leader orchestrates cross-functional teams across Product, Sales, Channel Marketing, Retail, eCommerce, and Operations to deliver world-class launches, drive category leadership, and scale revenue across global consumer markets.

     

    The role requires a blend of consumer insight, brand storytelling, retail excellence, channel expertise, and product fluency.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. GTM Strategy & Planning

    + Own the consumer GTM strategy for new device launches, line extensions, category refreshes, and seasonal retail events.

    + Align market execution of consumer segments, value propositions, and messaging informed by market data and behavioral insights.

    + Build annual and multi-quarter GTM plans aligned with product roadmaps and retail calendars.

    2. Retail & Channel Leadership

    + Develop channel-specific GTM strategies for key retail partners (e.g., Best Buy, Amazon Global, Walmart, Target, Fnac, Media Mart, Global carriers, distributors, etc).

    + Partner with Channel Sales and Retail Marketing to optimize in-store and online merchandising, retail promotions, and attach programs.

    + Drive account-specific launch readiness, from roadmap previews to assortments, pricing, and joint business planning.

    3. Launch Execution

    + Lead cross-functional launch teams to ensure flawless execution across brand, retail, digital, social, eCommerce, and PR.

    + Oversee consumer-facing messaging, packaging, and launch assets to ensure consistency and impact.

    + Manage demand generation plans including retail events, influencer campaigns, and performance marketing.

    4. Consumer & Market Insights

    + Analyze consumer trends, competitive dynamics, pricing shifts, and category movements to guide GTM decisions.

    + Translate insights into actionable recommendations for Product, Sales, and Marketing leadership.

    5. Performance Optimization

    + Establish commercial KPIs—sell-in, sell-through, velocity, retail share, conversion, and attach.

    + Monitor performance across retailers, channels, and regions; adjust plans based on real-time feedback.

    + Partner with Finance and Operations for forecasting, supply alignment, and prom

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    + 8+ years of Go-to-Market, Category Management, Product Marketing, or Commercial roles in consumer technology.

    + Excellence in program management and developing processes from start to end

    + Proven success launching consumer tech products across retail and eCommerce channels.

    + Strong understanding of consumer behavior, retail merchandising, and omni-channel marketing.

    + Experience influencing cross-functional teams and engaging directly with major retail partners.

    + Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.

    + Data-driven mindset with experience managing KPIs and optimizing commercial performance.

    + Experience in global consumer markets and channel ecosystems.

    + An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.

    + The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.

    + You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Sandisk's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
