    Join Our Team as a Heavy Equipment / Yellow Iron Mechanic!

     

    • **Location:** Heart of Florida Landfill – Lake Panasoffkee, FL

    • **Schedule:** Monday–Friday | Saturdays as needed

    • **Pay:** $35-$45 hour DOE

    What You’ll Do:

    + Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment.

    + Diagnose and fix electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.

    + Work with a fleet of yellow iron equipment including compactors, dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks, and articulated dump trucks.

    + Operate bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, and scrapers. (Compactor experience is a plus!)

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.

    What We’re Looking For:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 3–5 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and yellow iron equipment.

    + Ability to read, write, and communicate technical service information.

    + CDL preferred (but not required at time of hire).

    + Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

    + Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
