Function of Position:
The Health & Wellness Ambassador II position is a part time, temporary grant position that reports directly to the Coordinator of the Counseling, Disability & Health Services office. This role assists with the planning, promotion and delivery of health and wellness programs and events for students, supporting initiatives such as mental health awareness, stress management, mindfulness, nutrition, sexual health and overall well-being. The Ambassador helps foster positive campus wellness culture through student engagement, outreach and supportive programming.
*This is a part-time temporary, grant funded position
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Facilitate and expand current wellness and prevention programming efforts offered by the department that highlights holistic student well-being
+ Host informational tables, workshops and activities based on trending student health and wellness topics
+ Track attendance data and engagement, document group and direct student interactions
+ Provide students with basic information about wellness resources and refer them to appropriate services under supervision
+ Create and distribute flyers and other promotional materials
+ Create a sense of belonging for students by being approachable, kind, and understanding of students' diverse backgrounds and emotional needs
+ Maintain and organize program materials and supplies to ensure events and workshops run smoothly including preparing handouts, wellness kits and other resources.
+ Exhibit good discretion and judgement for all programs
+ Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of student records
+ Promote and engage students with the available platforms offered by the department (e.g. Therapy Assistance Online, TimelyCare, etc.)
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities that contribute to the service offerings of the department and mission of the College assigned by Coordinator of the department.

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
+ Earned bachelor's degree in Counseling, Health Education or closely related field from an accredited higher education institution
+ Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
+ Possesses a strong understanding of student development and has experience working in a higher education environment
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
Additional Information:
Salary: $20-$25/hour.
Schedule: This is a part-time, fully on-campus (in-person) position, with a maximum of 20 hours per week
