Job Description

An employer is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst that has knowledge of Cloud Security sit at Fort Meade.

The role serves as a stabilizing force within a high-intensity, high-tempo operations center, leveraging deep technical expertise, management acumen, and analytical skills to meet senior command requirements and enhance operational effectiveness. Responsibilities include analyzing cloud architectures and technologies, developing cybersecurity and risk assessment methodologies, and conducting cyber situational awareness activities. The candidate will prepare senior leadership briefings, perform enterprise-level cybersecurity strategy assessments, and recommend improvements to policies, systems, and network infrastructure. Additional duties involve collaborating with third-party security services, enhancing monitoring and automation in cloud environments, and ensuring real-time log transmission to security and insider threat teams.

Compensation:

$70/hr to $80/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Active TSSCI

BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.

IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)

Possess one Cloud Certification (e.g. CCSP, AWS CSAA, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, Azure Administrator)

Maintain expert knowledge of endpoint and networking security controls; provide updates to security control guidance.

Familiarity with all related aspects of cybersecurity operations and security architecture & engineering.

In-depth knowledge of network and application protocols, cyber vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques and cyber threat/adversary methodologies (TTPs).

In-depth experience with security domains and industry best practices; business continuity and disaster recovery, emerging technology Prior experience with one or more of the following tools like ASV,Expander,SIEM, and Cloud Native Tools

Prior experienced with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners

TS/SCI w/CI Poly Preferred

Proficient in cloud hosted networks

Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
