RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY:
• Plans, manages, and coordinates functions, services, and activities for staffing and scheduling for QUMG Providers.
• Ensures payroll and timekeeping data for payroll processing is accurate, timely and complies with bargaining agreements, regulatory requirements, and policies and procedures of the Medical Center.
• Monitors premium pay (i.e., extra call and extra shift) in all procedural areas to ensure efficient and cost-effective scheduling and staffing of assigned units/departments.
• Serves as the lead for projects and initiatives, as assigned.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Work environment may be stressful due to multiple requests, priorities, and deadlines.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
• Associate's degree in business, health care, or related field; or three (3) years of experience with staffing and/or payroll may be substituted for educational requirement..
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• No certification and/or licensure requirement.
C. EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to the educational requirement, three (3) years of experience with staffing and/or payroll in a health care facility, preferably of comparable size.
• Prior experience and knowledge of automated payroll systems, preferably in Kronos.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge of computer applications, i.e., MS Office.
o Ability to communicate and work effectively, via verbal and written communication, with a broad range of individuals and audiences.
o Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to payroll and interpretation of bargaining agreements and pay policies.
o Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Prior experience working with providers preferred.
