Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Product Owner to work HYBRID for a client in Apex, NC. This role will serve as the voice of the customer and content authority for Firmware / Smart Devices—serving as the voice of the customer and content authority for your Agile team. You will work as part of the Agile Trio (Product Owner, Value Stream Architect, Scrum Master) to define, prioritize, and deliver solutions that integrate hardware, firmware, cloud, and applications into a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of full-stack IoT development, curiosity about the customer experience, and a passion for building products that connect innovation with purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the product backlog for the Firmware / Smart Device value stream, ensuring alignment with product roadmap and technology strategy.

• Translate business objectives and product roadmaps into clear, actionable epics, features, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.

• Drive backlog refinement, PI Planning, and iteration reviews to ensure delivery predictability and quality.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Program leadership to manage dependencies and ensure release readiness.

• Partner with Product Management to measure business value and validate outcomes.

• Support Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and Inspect & Adapt sessions using data-driven insights.

Maintain awareness of the full IoT stack and ensure technical feasibility and scalability of solutions.

Skills and Requirements

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or 5+ years equivalent experience).

• 5+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager in Agile environments; SAFe experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of IoT systems and full-stack development (hardware, firmware, cloud, mobile/web).

• Experience with hardware/firmware development and interdependent hardware/software workflows.

• Proficiency with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Power BI).

Experienced in environments where hardware and software development intersect. Plus:

• SAFe POPM certification.

• Familiarity with data architecture, AI/ML in cloud environments.

• Experience in agile transformation and bridging hardware-centric and software product management.
