Job Description
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsiblities
MSTS is seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist II to support the PULSE Construction Manager.
Key Responsibilities
+ Using discretion and independent judgment, assist management official in planning, coordinating, and directing a variety of office management functions within the organizational unit to relieve administrative detail related to business and technical operations, processes, programs, and projects.
+ Handle space assignments for construction department.
+ Handle Training reports for Construction.
+ Have WebEx record capabilities to record management assessments or investigations into incidents.
+ Submit all orders in Oracle as needed.
+ Act as EAT member.
+ Provide guidance and training to support personnel, students, interns, contractors and other support personnel as required to complete assignments.
+ Coordinate safety and security requirements.
+ Prepares invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents, using business software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, financial, etc.
+ May perform business activities related to employee morale and recognition operations, processes, programs and projects.
+ May administer MSTS recognition programs, including Performance Awards and Service Awards, as well as additional recognition programs as approved by the Contracting Officer.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 2 years of professional level experience, which provided a sound working knowledge of administrative policies and procedures, or equivalent training and experience.
+ Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, human resources, and coordination of people and resources.
+ Skill to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision-making.
+ Able to utilize independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to resolve problems and ensure that requirements are completed efficiently and on time.
+ Able to apply knowledge of principles, concepts and theory related to professional business discipline/field related to the position and employ a systems approach to address issues and to define and resolve problems.
+ Able to apply knowledge and experience to compose correspondence and technical reports and accomplish goals where established procedures may not be specific.
+ Able to exercise discretion and sound judgment in performing work and contribute recommendations for improving operations/processes.
+ Ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
+ Highly organized and able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, accomplish work, and meet required deadlines.
+ Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people inside and outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government and other external sources in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality.
+ Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
+ Able to remember extensive policies, procedures, terminology, schedules, personnel, and other details.
+ Able to use software applications needed in the position, including Microsoft Suite and general office equipment.
+ Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
+ Able to read/write/speak English.
+ Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
+ Familiar with software applications used in the position.
+ The primary work location will be at a forwarding area at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
+ Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).
+ Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
+ Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘ _Identity, Credential, and Access Management_ ,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘ _Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors_ .’

Annual salary range for this position is: **$63,856.00 - $95,784.00.**
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
