Operations Support
This position directs all activities of process design and management along with the design of digital automation\. Daily activities will include directing process design for both metallic and composite processes\. The scope also includes research and development activity to improve production engineering designs\. Objectives also include driving the advancement of enterprise knowledge and capability within the field of Engineering, specifically part process design\.
What you’ll be doing as a Manager, Part Process Design
Lead and develop digital systems to execute process sequences and routings that produce to engineering specifications\.
Oversee the Integration and maturation of process creation which improves instructional content for a connected worker\.
Manage and execute part producibility assessments with Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality Groups\. Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies\.
Develop and implement policies, procedures and programs uniquely conceived to promote the industrialization of new technologies\.
Develop and staff a research and development organization to design digital resources with the ability to satisfy the technical needs of the company\.
Monitor and refine process design activities that reduce and control variation to achieve the planned target levels for process design certification\.
Manage the development and chronicle detailed records of best practice and standards including data requirements and approach which includes machine & cutter stability through process design and analysis
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role
Comprehensive understanding of the processes and workflows that are associated with metallic and composite fabrication and the design of standard work\.
Understanding of CAD/CAM including data movement from part design to equipment and back to part design\.
Experience with CAD/CAM systems such as CATIA v5 or v6, Prefer Catia 3DX experience\.
Ability to manage and prioritize work, strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with a team player mindset\.
Excellent communicator able to build and maintain effective relationships with employees, customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers\.
What you need to be successful
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred\.
10 years experience bringing proficiency in manufacturing methods and processes, design for manufacturability \(DFM\) principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing \(GD&T\), material processing and tools, including CAD/CAM and MES software, statistical process control, industry 4\.0 technologies, and lean manufacturing principals to design efficient production methods\.
5 years’ minimum management experience required in Manufacturing Engineering functions, with experience in process design research and development\.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment\.
Passion for innovation and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement\.
