Job Summary

The Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow. The Research Fellow will perform research under the guidance of Rui Wang, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Population Medicine (DPM).

Job Description

Most of the fellow's time will be spent working on research related to Dr. Rui Wang's research grants. This would include a mix of statistical methodology research and collaborative work with epidemiologists and clinicians. The specific topics include methodologic research relating to design, monitoring and analysis of cluster randomized trials, longitudinal data modeling and survival analysis, and methods for hospital profiling.

Job Description

+ Analyze large, complex data from multiple sources, such as survey data, environmental and dietary exposure data, and research visit data

+ Make effective presentations of the analysis results to both technical and non-technical audiences

+ Prepare articles for peer-reviewed publications, as well as reports and presentations

+ Participate in team meetings to help shape the direction of the existing research projects

+ Develop new research ideas or help prepare proposals

+ Perform out-of-the-box thinking, collaborate with others, and make a difference every day!

+ Other duties and projects as assigned

Salary Range

$62,106.34 -$93,159.50

The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization. The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
